(TIFFIN)Ohio’s Attorney General Dave Yost, Auditor of State Keith Faber, and State Treasurer Robert Sprague today jointly announced their endorsement of State Representative Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) in his campaign for State Senate in the 26thDistrict’s March 2020 primary. The 26thDistrict includes Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Sandusky, Seneca, Union, and Wyandot Counties. These statewide elected Republicans lauded Reineke’s business experience and conservative voting record as a state legislator among the many reasons for their endorsements.

“Bill Reineke has an exemplary record as state representative,” said Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, who previously served as a county prosecutor and two-term State Auditor. “Heistough on violent crime, supportive of law enforcement, and serious about tackling the opioid epidemic. Ohioans need Bill Reineke in theStateSenate to continue to work on these vital issues.”

Auditor of State Keith Faber, who previously served as President of the Ohio Senate, noted Reineke’s conservative record on fiscal issues. “Representative Reineke has fought against wasteful spending and bad budgeting,” Faber said. “It was a pleasure working with him in the General Assembly to balance the state budget and deliver tax cuts to all Ohioans. His business experience will continue to serve him well in the Ohio Senate.”

State Treasurer Robert Sprague, a former state representative who served with Reineke, also praised Reineke’s record. “I greatly enjoyed the opportunity to serve with my friend Bill Reineke in the Ohio House of Representatives for four years. Few people understand how government impacts business like Bill Reineke,” Sprague said. “In just a few short years, Bill has voted to cut taxes, put more resources into fighting the drug epidemic, and enhanced Ohio’s workforce development strategy to create jobs. I’m proud to stand alongside him and am grateful for his conservative approach to governing.”

Reineke said he is grateful for the support of our conservative Republican leaders.“This is a significant day for my campaign. I truly appreciate the support of these three leaders of our state. I have enjoyed working with the Attorney General, Auditor, and Treasurer on key issues affecting Ohioans, and look forward to building on that work in the Ohio Senate.”
